Globalization and Management Information System

The integration of the management information system (MIS) is critical in the collection of informative materials and hiring workers in an organization. The technique has significantly affected the global operations of businesses by advancing their competitive advantage (Berisha-Shaqiri, 2015). MIS refers data handling using a computer that is enabled to deliver instant and useful information to enhance the decision-making process.

Globalization and competitiveness among enterprises have compelled managers to integrate MIS in their marketing strategies. The system has minimized the coordination costs through a reduction in both the time and expenses incurred during information exchange (Munirat, Sanni & Kazeem, 2014). The integration of MIS models by international companies has enhanced management, knowledge transfer between units within different nations, and diversification of commodities.

Due to globalization, companies have integrated the use of MIS in their decision-making process to enhance their competitive advantage. These organizations have tailored the management information system model to align with their business objectives (Munirat, Sanni & Kazeem, 2014). Some of the changes that have been introduced courtesy of the system include the establishment of the technology to facilitate an active exchange of knowledge among staff, provision of intricate materials, and support for strategic goals.

The integration of the MIS model in the corporate sector has played an essential role in enhancing competitive advantage and the decision-making process. One of the main benefits of the system is reducing the cost of coordination and improving the conveyance of knowledge between entities in different countries.  Globalization impacts the design of MIS by ensuring it conforms to a firm’s strategic objectives thereby facilitating institutional performance. It is imperative for every enterprise to adopt the system because of its significant advantages.
