and practice of human rights through NGOs. The organization concerns itself with the

their citizens. Amnesty International is an ambassador of human rights practice across the world.
The core values of Amnesty International to ensure that human beings embrace the moral values
for peace and justice within the community.
Amnesty International and Human Rights Concerns
Human rights provide protection and freedom to individuals; however, its notion is
considered a dilemma to various work frames that are concern with justification and
reinforcement of communal laws. The social construct in many communities has different views
on what should be considered worthy to be termed as human rights. This ideology extends to
social matters dealing with religion, personal beliefs, world views, and other culture-based
elements. For instance, the matter that deals with murder and violence can have different
opinions from different people in society considering their norms (Swed, 2018). Therefore
human rights emerge from a historical point of view thus reflecting the relations and events in
the society. They are expressed as a class interest of collective rights in a pre-existing condition.
Amnesty International argues that for communities to overcome their cultural ideologies
and subscribe to international standards of human rights. Then the governments should be held to
comply with the requirements of the international standards. By doing so the no nation is capable
of violating human rights. Human rights practice ensures that the rights are practices by everyone
and held equally regardless of ranks and relationships. These rights should also be claimable
against its perpetrators in case of its violations. Human rights are meant to help in the
improvement of the social structure (Ferna`ndez-Aballi, 2016). Political and economic structure
since it presents a fair treatment for all individuals in society. Amnesty International has come
with a campaign to represent individual under risks in community in different parts of the world
Amnesty International in compliance with United Nations presents collective
reasonability of all individuals. The two organizations are socially inclusive, they take the
slogan, “we the people” by doing so they only work for the good of the people. The Non
Governmental organization thus plays a major role in monitoring the global structure and
application of principles and values from the policymakers. Amnesty has had a great impact on
promotion of nonprofit sectors such as NGOs to build and promote their agenda. Nonprofit
organizations have had an opportunity to explore different communities as a reflexive response
(Swed, 2018). Through the motivation of the human rights and Amnesty International, such
organizations can bring to light instances of suffering and at the same time offer solutions to such
NGOs and Social concerns of Human Rights
Amnesty International is a humanitarian organization that brought about social change
through reinforcement of human rights over 50 years of its existence. Its establishment has
enabled it to have the power to pressurize state authority into observing protocols of human
rights. It further goes ahead to offer a solution to global conflicts. Nonprofits organizations have
been created operated as an influence of Amnesty and human rights. Amnesty has influenced the
following items in society (Ferna`ndez-Aballi, 2016).
Amnesty International advocates for the practice of human rights in the social structure.
Every human is entitled to equal treatment regardless of race, gender, or age. In case of conflicts,
human rights prove for respect of human life by giving justice. The role of NGOs is to mitigate
social realism across international borders to overcome violence and prejudice that may result
from avoidance of human rights. Amnesty International has encouraged most NGOs and media
to rebuke socially based injustices by employing a “name and shame” strategy that points out the
individuals and institutions and tends to disregard human rights (Swed, 2018). For instance, the
revocation of inhumane act of death penalty to offenders as form of justice, Amnesty has set up a
campaign to abolish death penalties (Grant, 2017).
Amnesty international has enabled to promotion practice of human rights despite the
various conflicts. Some of the conflicts around the world that NGOs have intervened in are
religious conflicts, issues regarding sexuality, and racial conflicts. Different communities have
different perspectives on religion, sexuality, and racial or ethnic background. In several cases,
people have been killed and prejudice for such reasons. NGOs come hand in hand in advocating
the rights of such individuals as well as educating society on human rights. Amnesty convection
to eliminate torture of any kind among has been effective, society especially if it based on
boarders and individuals way of life (Grant, 2017).
Human rights in a social perspective extend to the protection of children’s rights.
Children are the most valuable asset in the community (Thakur, 1994). There Amnesty has
encouraged NGO foundations to look after the less privileged children and give them a better
chance in life. NGOs concerning the state government have ensured the universal protection of
children from the local government foundation. Children are entitling to proper parenting, health,
family life, food, education, and protection from harm and abuse. Several NGOs have explored
the remote area and compromised families to take care of children suffering in various ways.
For instance amnesty has help in solving the hunger crisis in South Sudan by solving food
security (Fakih, 2016).
The social responsibility of Amnesty International extends to the freedom of movement
and migration of individuals. Therefore Amnesty International has insisted on the presence of
ambassadors and other representation teams in every nation to build confidence among migrating
individuals Freedom of expression is among rights enforced by Amnesty International. NGOs
are also able to take care of environmental factors that relate to hygiene (Swed, 2018). A human
being is entitled to a clean environment at any time. NGOs, therefore, offer train and services in
hygienic adventures that teach society the relevance of maintaining a clean environment. To cub
the issue of climate change Amnesty call up to the governments reduce their green house gas and
stop global warming (Amnesty, 2019).
NGOs and Political Concerns of Human Rights
International Nongovernmental Organizations are motivated by Amnesty and human
rights to follow up the just happening in communities worldwide. Its effectiveness is meant to
ensure social change arising from international structures, diplomatic relations, network interest,
and the economic standard. As a requirement of human rights, every human being should not be
abused under any leadership. NGOs as non-state and nonprofit institutions provide a social
standard offering education as well as providing material voluntarily. These humanitarian actions
are aimed to pay close attention to abusive leadership situations in which the perpetrators are
held accountable by international governance. As a result, Amnesty has established International
criminal court (ICC) that held accountable leaders committing crimes against human genocide
NGOs provide a legitimate and accountable system that advocates against abuse of
power. They encourage democratic systems that in inclusive of stakeholders that help in strategic
decision-making concept as well as challenging the leadership. Amnesty International prioritizes
the ability of the leadership to be accountable for its political and economic decisions (Thakur,
1994). Moreover, International Nongovernmental Organizations advocate for competitiveness
and independence among stakeholders in a membership. According to Amnesty International,
the government should embrace media participation within networks. Media freedom is assumed
to expose violence, abuse, corruption, and unfairness within the society without intimidation.
The government should therefore pay less attention the public opinion especially by not being
Nonprofit Sectors and Media Relation
The freedom of the media to express information and educated import aspects that do not
only concern the journalistic moral but are also the morals require in the fulfillment of the human
rights requirements. Corporate communication has been an emerging trend that employees the
passing of information through a certain medium. With the advancement of technology, the
media has transformed its operation. The traditional media such as the use of television, radios,
and newspaper was employed as a medium to pass information to the public (Vestergaard, 2008).
However, in the present day, the invention of new media has changed media ideologies.
Therefore, Amnesty takes this trend to encourage NGOs to acquire information that may concern
the violation of human rights from regular citizens and not only media practitioners. Several
NGOs provide surveys and questionnaires through online platforms that help in the identification
of Human Rights concerns in various parts of the world.
In conclusion, advocacy for human rights is the objective of Amnesty International.
These rights are also obligations to all individuals to ensure safety and peace with the
community. Humanitarian originations comply with Amnesty International to help the world to
overcome human rights violations in different parts of the world. NGOs promote safety to
victims of human right violation. As a result, NGOs help victims gradually is employed the
masses through the constant education given to society. Amnesty International is also strict on
adherence to human rights in the nation-state thus its violation is made questionable to the
international laws. NGOs act as an ally in the most remote location that might be neglected by
the media. Therefore, the nonprofit sector's voluntary offers physical and emotional help that
might be required by the neglected individuals.
