The 20th century is known for most of man’s greatest technological inventions. An example is communication innovations which have led to the development of social media sites that people use to interact. Facebook is one of the largest social media sites in the world that was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and has considerably improved the lives of everyone around him.
To begin with, Mark developed an interest in computers at an early age. His prowess in technology was first seen when he was about 12 years old and used Atari BASIC to create a messaging program called Zucknet. His father used the program to organize his work (he was a dentist). Zuckerberg’s family also relied on the technology to communicate around the house.
Mark Zuckerberg pursued courses related to computer programming in higher institutions of learning. He was in college when he created a website that was well sponsored by a capital firm called Accel Partners. Accel invested $12.7 million into the infant project. The project grew to become the gigantic Facebook site that people know today to communicate and transact business. Additionally, Zuckerberg profited a lot from this project judging from his current net worth of over $6.9 billion. Facebook has made socializing easier both between Mark and everyone around him and people worldwide. It is now relatively easier to know things happening even when you are no there physically. This presents an improvement to the lives of those around Mark.
Facebook also allows business individuals to access a wider market base that is unlimited. Persons doing business around Mark have benefited from advertising at relatively cheaper prices and reach international markets. This was earlier not possible especially for small business owners. Facebook has also bridged the gap between employers and workers. These two can meet by either offering their services or posting their job opportunities on the site.
