Sample English Essays on Dancing Class

In writing this essay, I wish to explain my experience in my dancing class this term. I will put across how I undertook my courses, how they were, and to a further extension of the challenges and the successes I encountered throughout my study. The essay will reflect on the contribution of the studio instructor towards my success in the dance class. In the essay, I will also highlight how and when I developed an interest in dancing and the entire physical practices. In summary, the article is an analysis of this term’s experience in the studio.

Dancing is a sort of a physical activity. Dancing is simply an energy-consuming exercise (Lemos, Meereis, Guadagnin, & Mota, pg.129). I developed an interest in dancing moves at my tender age. I promised myself to join a class to the same effect, and this term, I moved beyond my comfort zone. My interest was a result of frequently watching games and music videos, which I almost got addicted to. I joined a studio for my classes. The instructor had a good understanding of beginners, and he employed pretty perfect strategies to help me master the moves as soon as possible.

Although dancing is a practical exercise, our class was not practical all through. Sometimes, the instructor also let us listen to music and experience the feeling of flying and a wiggle. We trained some ballet moves and turns. We watched videos of new moves such as jazz, contemporary dance, hip hop and others, which I later practiced. We had to write other steps ourselves, repeated them, touching the ground and jumping. The trainer advised us to try more and diversified moves and styles.

Our instructor was determined to ensure that every learner is flexible and masters the moves. Many of the activities in the studio were practical. The teacher spared us sometime to engage in group discussions. The discussions set a good platform to share ideas and come up with new moves. For instance, through discussions I realized that thorough practice was essential for mastery of the steps. Interacting with comrades brought up new moves, and of our own.

My main progress was as a result of the excellent guidance by the trainer. The teacher showed us the main points of focus, which he emphasized on every time. The trainer was apt in identifying some critical challenges several trainees had, I included.  The studio instructor, for instance, would easily realize us making moves against the rhythm and correct it. The advice of listening to the beats, and dancing rhythmically, played a major role in keeping us in lane.

Additionally, more measures were put in place to keep learners in the studio satisfied in the classes. The instructor was always encouraging. No one of the students could feel pissed off by not mastering the moves within the first few days. The studio director kept building confidence in all the members equally, even though he insisted much on learning the steps. The entire learning process was fun, and whenever I was away, I missed the studio. The incorporation of gymnastics with the dance classes made it even more attractive and advantageous to all the learners.

It is in the dancing classes, where I identified many of my strengths and weaknesses concerning physical exercises. First, I realized that I was quite fast in understanding choreography. I was able to master a new dance style in a short period, compared to my colleagues. I took the quick mastery of moves as usual until the instructor came to seek whether I was a professional dancer since childhood. Another strength I learned is that I am flexible, and I am hardly forgetful of the moves.

With the strengths and weaknesses, our instructor offered me a number of strategies which saw me success in the class. Working alongside comrades was a good step I took. I helped my friends remember the moves, and in that way, I practiced more. It is in the same regular practice that I gained the spirit of working harder and soon, and I was able to jump up and down. I would turn more abruptly and dance with the rhythm. I taught myself to perform private practices when I was not in the studio. I also started warming up session where I would remind myself some moves minutes before I went to the studio

In conclusion, the entire term was terrific. I gained a good understanding of dancing, and more physical exercises offered free. I gained more than the moves. I learned that practice is essential for good health. Working hard on improving on your weaknesses can see you excel when combined with the strengths (Pines, Rachyl, & Giles, p.85). Motivation also is a key to attain success as well as working as a team.
