Explanation Describing the Various Decision-Making Styles and the Type of Technique that Best describes My Decision-Making Strategy

Decision making is an essential aspect for the managers since the process helps in successful implementation of various managerial functions. Human beings are guided by either of the four formal elements incorporated when solving challenges (Kayode, Mojeed & Fatai, 2014). The functions include sensing, thinking, feeling for judging and assessing the situation, and intuition that allows an individual to determine the future impact of their actions. Notably, the activities of each quadrant of the brain act as the foundation for a given form of decision making. Cognitive intricacy stems from the application of informative materials to the conceptual capacity of parallel information analysis and generalization (Azeska, Starc & Kevereski, 2017). The decision-making techniques include directive, analytical, conceptual, and behavioral.

Analytical is a form of decision-making in which the managers rely on intensive data search to make a decision. In most occasions, the leaders have a high tolerance for vague informative materials. The directive system is integrated by autocratic bosses that tend to be more aggressive. The managers make resolutions based on a relatively insignificant amount of data and lack tolerance for imprecise informative materials. The conceptual technique is observable on directors with the desire of being identified with the success of the organization (Azeska, Starc & Kevereski, 2017). In many circumstances, these leaders make verdicts based on a widespread elaboration of information and are usually creative and innovative. In a behavioral approach, administrators make resolutions taking care to uphold the relations with the subordinate staff. The technique is characterized by individuals with an excessive need for recognition and enhancing democratic relationship with the employees.

As such, conceptual decision-making is my preferred style since it takes a social approach to make verdicts. Furthermore, it promotes creative thinking and collaboration among employees, thus, is useful for the growth of the organization (Azeska, Starc & Kevereski, 2017). The system is suited for circumstances characterized by unpredictability and those that has no immediate resolutions. However, the model requires long-term planning to attain an appropriate solution to the problem.

Preparing for the Interview and Key Strategies to Help Me Pass the Interview Successfully

Employers observe an interview as a way of identifying the most formal and professional aspect of the interviewee. Notably, successful interview preparation entails organizing all the materials that enable one to be composed and confident during the process. However, the recruitment setting might seem casual, but the interview indicates one’s appreciation of, and capability for formality and competence (Davis & Herrera, 2013). As such, before the interview date, I will research on the location of the interview, duration, and the expected style of interview.

Furthermore, I will explore the organization’s objectives, history, and some of the challenges currently affecting the syndicate. On the day of the interview, I will wear clean and ironed attires with well-polished shoes that depict the nature of the event. Equally, I will practice some etiquette such as avoiding phone calls and maintaining eye contact during the interview process. I will express professional interest for the industry and the position primarily to help in enhancing my confidence for the job. Some of the key strategies that will help me to successfully accomplish the interview include listening carefully to the asked questions and averting from asking vague questions. Additionally, emphasizing my answers on the previous involvements that align to the employer’s needs will assist me in passing the interview.
